Muir Elementary School

MUIR won the "GOLD" award for our recycling efforts. For the past 2 years, all around campus, our trash cans have been paired with recycle bins. Additionally, Muir's Green Team was behind our cafeteria sorting stations and the recycling bin pick up every Thursday. Muir couldn't have accomplished these efforts without every single teacher, staff member and student in grades K-8. Muir will continue with these GREEN efforts when we return to school, and our students should be doing their part to recycle at home---if possible. I would love for John Muir to be known as a "Green School" within the next few years---our next step.

California State Law requires that all students entering 7th grade must show evidence or proof of having had a TDAP booster given after the 7th birthday. TDAP is a vaccine that protects children from tetanus, diptheria and whooping cough. Students who do not have a proof or evidence of this vaccine by the first day of school will not be admitted in class and will be sent home.

Tdap tienen que estar actuales. Si su hijo o hija no ha tenido esta vacunación o la prueba no ha sido presentada a la oficina ellos tendrán que ser excluidos de la escuela.   Le pedimos que por favor sigan este requisito de la Ley del Estado de California lo mas pronto posible.
